Nicholas Romeril is pleased to open his studio to present several new sculptural projects before they are shipped to UK and USA. Romeril is also displaying a new series of paintings inspired by the caves and cliffs along the north coast of Jersey and particularly the dramatic granite formation known as L’Agois.
“Mesmerising Fish” is the newest development in the successful ‘Fish Walls’ series and is shown for the first time. The stainless steel fish, are designed to be displayed outside and are ‘powered by the wind’.
'A sharp Intake of Breath’ is on display before it is shipped to the RHA Tatton Flower Show. The sculpture is the centrepiece of a charity Garden for Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
Romeril has made the full-scale, mild steel model of a leaf sculpture, (as yet untitled) which will be completed in stainless steel this summer and installed in a private garden in San Diego in early 2018.
Chris Beetles Gallery, in London, is concurrently showing a group of new seascapes during May and June.
Also in June, ARTE, a German film company will broadcast a short film featuring Nicholas Romeril working in his studio and on Les Minquiers, which was shoot in the summer of 2016.
