Exhibition History

This painting was exhibited in Switzerland hosted by Galerie Dutoit from 5 – 26 September 2026 at the solo show titled ONE Drop.

ONE Drop, investigates the fragile relationship between humanity and our planet’s most vital resource: water. Using a combination of fluid oil paints and acrylics, I work to mimic the natural movement, tension, and clarity of liquid forms, capturing them whether they are in fluid motion or frozen in time.
This collection represents a vital journey through diverse marine environments. Central to the exhibition are 20 paintings created during my Artist in Residence position with the Scott Polar Research Institute (SPRI). Traveling with the British Royal Navy to the Antarctic Peninsula, I spent six weeks immersed in a magnificent, frozen world, documenting its stark beauty through painting, drawing, and film. This icy exploration is balanced by a vibrant change in direction: a new series of vivid, spring green landscapes that grow close to the seaside. Together, these 60 paintings serve as a continued celebration of the sea, mapping the breathtaking spectrum of our global marine landscapes from the polar ice to the living shore.

As the 2018 artist in resident for Friends of Scott Polar Research Institute, I travelled to the Falkland Islands in late January to board HMS Protector for the journey to the Antarctic Peninsula. I was extremely lucky with the work package as the ship was transporting members of the WWF and FCO to 15 sites of special interest. This meant that the ship cross-crossed the peninsula and travelled 3500 miles in total. The crew treated me openly, engaging with the projects I aimed to achieve. On one occasion, they happily arranged for a zodiac to take me close to some of the colossal blue bergs. During the residency I created over 200 small paintings/drawings, shot VR films, kept a diary and plotted the ships course.
